Emanuele Nardone, a researcher in the UEF group, was the recipient of an award for his paper presentation delivered at EVOSTAR 2026. This was the 26th European Conference on Applications of Evolutionary Computing. The event took place from April 8 to 10, 2026, in Toulouse, France.

Emanuele Nardone is a young researcher who is fully engaged in the Hermes project. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that Emanuele obtained his PhD in Cassino and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Joensuu, on secondment from UEF in Monozukuri.

EvoStar 2026 was the leading European event in the field of bio-inspired artificial intelligence. The event took place in Toulouse, France, at the Université Toulouse Capitole, from April 8-10, 2026.

The event constitutes a hybrid conference, the purpose of which is to convene experts in order to discuss advancements in the field of evolutionary computation. Furthermore, it seeks to shed light on the future of nature-inspired algorithms.
